Lenora's Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is our go to chocolate chip cookie recipe. It does have the fancy, "healthy" sugar in it but you can get it at Costco for a good deal or just pick up a 2 lb box at any grocery store. It makes the cookies oh so tastey!

1 c butter
2 c turbinado sugar (sometimes called sugar in the raw or evaporated cane juice sugar)
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups whole wheat flour
¾ tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 1/3 cups oats
2 cups chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar. Then add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Mix all dry ingredients, then add to butter mixture. Stir in oats and chocolate chips last. Bake 350 for 12 - 15 minutes. Pull them out just before they look done and that way they stay soft and DELICIOUS.

I like to make a batch and roll the dough into balls and freeze them separated with wax paper so I can cook a batch at a time and always have a treat ready for FHE.
